National Service Map

We are mapping innovative UEC Services in rural and coastal England.

Creating a national map of innovative urgent and emergency care models in rural coastal areas to support planning and policy

Work Package 1  aims to develop a  national service map of UEC models operating in rural coastal settings in England, with a particular focus on innovative, system-level approaches.

The aim of this part of the study is to identify which innovative models of UEC are being implemented in England and why. We will review key policy and operational documents, along with other publicly available information, to identify when these models were introduced, the services involved, the priorities being addressed, and workforce features, among other factors. We will also speak to key stakeholders to identify any additional models that may not be captured in publicly available sources.

The output from this work will provide a comprehensive and descriptive service map of UEC models in rural coastal settings in England. This will inform Work Package 2 analysis and the sampling of case sites for Work Package 3.
